MustPlay is a gaming bucket-list app made by an independent developer. This page explains what the app does with your data. The short version: your list lives on your device, we don't run accounts, and we don't sell anything about you.
Your game list, ratings, notes and completion dates are stored locally on your device. We do not upload them to our servers.
Search results and cover art come from IGDB via a proxy we operate. Your search query is sent to that proxy and forwarded to IGDB; nothing else about you is attached to it.
Scout is the in-app assistant that suggests what to play next. When you ask Scout a question, the app sends your question together with a snapshot of your list (game titles, their status, your star ratings, platforms and release years) to a server we operate on Cloudflare. That server looks the titles up in Qloo's taste API to find games, films and music that fit your taste, uses a language model hosted on Cloudflare Workers AI to turn the results into an answer, and streams it back. Your free-text notes are never sent. No account, name, email or device identifier is attached to the request, and we do not keep your list on the server: responses from Qloo are briefly cached to reduce repeat lookups, and nothing else is retained. Scout is optional; the rest of the app works without ever using it.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate receipts and manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier and purchase receipts; it does not receive your name or email.
If you allow notifications, we use OneSignal to send release-day reminders and occasional nudges about games on your list. OneSignal receives a device push token and a few anonymous tags (how many games are in each state). You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings at any time.
No ads, no analytics SDKs beyond the services above, no tracking across apps or websites, no sale of data.
Deleting the app removes all local data. To have RevenueCat or OneSignal records erased, email us and we will request deletion from both services.
